Perception of teachers and students about university social responsibility policies in vocational training, Universidad Andina del Cusco, Quillabamba Branch, 2023
Abstract
The objective of this research was to identify the perception of teachers and students regarding university social responsibility policies in professional training implemented in the Professional Schools of Administrative Sciences and Accounting of the Andean University of Cusco, Quillabamba Branch, Cusco Region; For which purpose, a basic, qualitative, descriptive, non-experimental and cross-sectional investigation was designed. The sample consisted of 35 appointed and hired teachers, as well as 80 students of the last cycle of studies of the Professional Schools of Administrative Sciences and Accounting. Questionnaires of 19 and 16 items respectively were applied, containing positive statements regarding university social responsibility policies in the professional training axis, with multiple response options on a 6-level Likert scale. The results indicate that university social responsibility policies in professional training are perceived differently between teachers and students. Regarding the service-learning dimension, the perception of teachers is more positive than that of students, the latter consider that this type of learning occurs, but insufficiently. Regarding the curricular inclusion dimension of the 17 sustainable development goals (SDGs), both teachers and students agree that they are partially included in the curricular structure; Finally, regarding the design of curricula with external actors, the perception of both groups shows that there is very little intervention from external actors.
