INTERGENERATION PROBLEMS IN THE CONTINUITY OF QUECHUA

Abstract

The main topic of reflexion is the loss of transmission of Quechua between two generations (parents/children). The question the article starts with is: Why do native Quechua speakers doesn’t teach their children its language?  There is a logical sequence in the path that follows: historic references and lost opportunities,  quantitative data to see the evolution of Quechua, a personal perspective and finally the elaboration of conclusions.
