Obtención de biodiesel en función de la mezcla de aceite doméstico usado y aceite de soya en el distrito de Wanchaq, Cusco, 2022

Abstract

The objective of the following study was to obtain biodiesel from the mixture of used domestic oil and soybean oil. The applied methodology was of an applicative type, quantitative approach, experimental design and descriptive level, the population consisted of oils collected from homes in the district of Wanchaq, department of Cuco, the sample was represented by 14 homes, with the intention of collecting oil that is no longer usable, the sampling was census. The techniques and instruments used were bibliographic sources and the Peruvian Technical Standard. The findings obtained indicated that a gallon of the mixture of the two oils was obtained, 3 test replicates were carried out for the oil, the acidity index for the used household oil was found to be (0.114 mg KOH/g) and for the mixture it gave a value of (0.062 mg KOH/g). A physicochemical study was developed for the mixture of both substances and for each one of them, resulting in acceptable data established by the NTP to be able to produce and use biodiesel, however, two parameters turned out to be out of the norm, such as viscosity and humidity, in spite of this, the performance of the biodiesel when tested in an engine was efficient.
